The Economics of Hiring Lawyers

Economics of Hiring Lawyers

Fried & Bonder lawyers were trained at large and well respected law firms while working for some of the largest and wealthiest clients in the U.S. While at those large firms, Fried & Bonder lawyers worked their way up the hierarchy, from doing the menial research and document reviews, all the way to trying jury cases as partners. The training and the skills learned at those large law firms are integral to Fried & Bonder's work ethic.

The difference between the Fried & Bonder lawyers now and when they were at those large law firms is purely a matter of economics. Unlike large full service law firms, Fried & Bonder focus on litigation. As a result, all of Fried & Bonder's resources, all of its practice and all of its continuing experience is directed toward litigation. As a result, the firm, and consequently the clients, do not pay overhead for items of no use to litigation, such as large libraries, or marbled foyers.

Fried & Bonder operates professionally and economically so that it can pass along the overhead savings to its clients. As a result of the lower overhead, Fried & Bonder is able to charge a lower hourly rate for the same quality of work that was provided when our lawyers were at large law firms.

In addition to passing along the savings from lower overhead, Fried & Bonder lawyers work differently than those at larger firms. When you hire a Fried & Bonder lawyer, that lawyer will likely do most of the work on your case. Unlike giant law firms, Fried & Bonder does not train low level associates on your file, only to pass that research up to a more senior associate for review, who then passes it along to the partner. Fried & Bonder partners do the work, which results in more efficient legal services with fewer people billing to each file. As a result, Fried & Bonder clients find their fees are often significantly lower than would be charged by larger law firms.

Fried & Bonder's size and focus allows it flexibility that the mega firms cannot match. Fried & Bonder can bill hourly, or charge a flat rate. For appropriate cases, Fried & Bonder we can be hired to work on a contingency. In some cases, Fried & Bonder can blend the hourly and contingency to fit the client's needs.

Fried & Bonder is committed to providing high quality legal services as economically as possible.
